The ‘dress rehearsal’ for the 2014 ADAC GT Masters season will be held in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
Drivers and teams will warm up at two official test days in Oschersleben on April 8th and 9th before the eighth Super Sports Car League season gets under way on the weekend of April 25th to 27th at the track near Magdeburg. Media representatives will have the chance to gather detailed information about the upcoming ADAC GT Masters season during a media day on April 8th.
At the same time, this official ADAC GT Masters pre-season testing also marks the start of the season for the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Germany’s northernmost race track will stage its annual press conference concerning events and activities during the 2014 season at the ADAC GT Masters media day on April 8th.
The etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is also open to fans on both test days. Day tickets cost five euros and are available only from the ticket office.
The 2014 ADAC GT Masters season kicks off on the weekend of 25th to 27th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All 16 races of the 2014 ADAC GT Masters will again be broadcast live throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on kabel eins television.

2013 has been a rollercoaster ride all the way. It has been filled with more highs than lows thanks to all my loyal fans. It has been an absolute honour to keep the South African flag flying on top of an International podium. I have had so many great experiences including seeing snow for the very first time and I have made so many great friends along the way.
In the middle of the season, we launched the “Fighting for a Dream” campaign which was one of the highlights of my season because it showed me how many people were supporting my efforts Internationally and it showed that despite a tough economy, everyone helped where they could to help me take another step closer to my dream. It was such a humbling experience and I can only thank everyone who made it possible.
Apart from those who got involved in the “Fighting for a Dream” campaign, there were thousands of others cheering from their living rooms around South Africa and even around the world, and for that I am also extremely grateful. 2013 truly was a team effort, and by no means can I take all of the credit.
With hard work and dedication, 2014 will be even better.

Kelvin van der Linde won the title in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup with victory in the final race. The 17-year-old South African triumphed in the finale at the historic Hockenheimring, ahead of title rival Kasper H. Jensen of Denmark.
While it was mathematically possible for 3 guys to win the title, going into the final race, it truly was Van der Linde’s to lose. He held a solid lead for almost the entire season, by winning five of the season’s nine races.
Van der Linde started down in fifth place, but kept pushing hard, after vowing not to be too conservative in his quest for the title.
He made his way up the order and went on to win the race and the title in spectacular style. Wrapping up the championship with 348 points, with Jensen runner-up on 295 points.
Last year, Kelvin made SA motor racing history by becoming the youngest winner of a senior circuit racing National championship.
This year, in his debut international season, he dominated the Scirocco R-Cup.
South Africa’s young star also earned selection to the FIA Institute’s 2013/2014 Young Driver Excellence Academy, by beating challengers from across Africa, to top the regional qualifier.
Next year, Van der Linde plans to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup. Earlier this month, he took part in the Porsche Motorsport Junior Programme Scouting in Oschersleben, and was chosen as 1 of the top 4 candidates. The top driver will be announced this week, and will receive funding for 2014, as a Porsche junior.
“It has been a fantastic year for me. I am incredibly proud to be the champion of the Scirocco R-Cup.” says the young man.
