2014 ADAC GT Masters Champion and current Factory Audi GT3 driver, Kelvin van der Linde will run in the DTM Young driver test in Jerez next week.
Following a number of outings in the Audi RS5 DTM taxi car, Kelvin will complete his first official DTM test next week at the famous Jerez circuit in Spain.
“It was such a great feeling to get the call from Audi confirming that I will run in the test. I have done a few outings in the DTM taxi, but this is the real deal with the full support from the Audi engineers and mechanics. I can’t wait!”
The DTM test will also be Kelvin’s first visit to the Jerez circuit, so there will be a lot to learn for the young South African
“For sure its a new track for me and just adds to the already existing challenge, but I’m a professional now and this should not be an issue. I have done the required prep in my home simulator, so it should all be OK.”
Testing will start on Monday, 28 November through Friday, 2 December. With 2 Audi DTM cars at the test, one car will be dedicated to 2017 development testing to be done by Mattias Ekstrom and Jamie Green, with the other car dedicated to the Young Driver test. Kelvin is due to run on Friday 2 December.
